  1. Drink More Water

While you’re at it, skip the soda, juices, sports drinks, and other calorific sugary drinks in your diet. Water flushes your body of harmful toxins, keeps you full, and helps your skin and hair look bright and beautiful.
  2. Walk it Out
    Technically speaking, to lose one pound per week, one needs to burn 3500 calories — making a 500 calorie deficit per day. One of the easiest ways to make sure this happens is by walking at least 10,000 steps per day. Fit this in by parking a little further from your office each morning, taking the stairs instead of the escalator, and getting in a few short 10 minute walks throughout your day. For added exercise, incorporate approximately 30 minutes of cardio at least three days a week.
  3. Eat Protein
    Protein helps bodies feel full, and additionally helps regulate blood sugar. This means that throughout the day your body won’t experience those harsh ups and downs that are associated with excess sugar intake. The more protein you eat, the fuller you are, and the less plagued you will be with unwanted and unhealthy cravings.
